It has seven weeks after radiotherapy and for me the main side effects fatigue (probably had to go every day), a minor burn relief gel is great that they gave me, and headache. I was told that the headaches were probably caused by stress (although I do not feel stressed) and / or fatigue. The meetings of the radiation itself lasted only two minutes at a time - even if it lasted a little longer, me in the field of radiation the ... for a total of five minutes for the creation and influence. Maybe I would not have lived an hour from the Hosptial was easier to handle.
ReplyDeleteTo make it easier to get plenty of rest in the weeks immediately after. Drinking too much water to flush your kidneys. Not much to do than to try to regain a normal life. You will find that it is only a part of daily life, but it seems a miracle when all processing is done - I had trouble back in the groove of "real life" because he had passed through both medical caOintments, surgery, chemotherapy and rads at the end.
Request of the mother as well and is like a walk in the park compared to other treatment (chemotherapy), hormone therapy.
I had radiotherapy for breast cancer. What helped me was that the people were friendly, the waiting room, and the technicians giving radiation. Everyone was very nice. Including the nurses and dr. The side effects that I had was that he was tired and the sun burns, I had more bubbles, gave me medication for that big. It's quick heal. Good luck to your mom.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Mickey. Much more personal than chemotherapy, because there are produced each day and the type of shoes berable and pleasant. I worked 39, in the treatment so that the worst thing going for me, the discomfort was there every day. Physically I was tired, but nothing like chemotherapy. With the chemo I was devastated, esp. End of the day, but with the radiation, which has been more difficult, the feeling that I'm not tired at the receiving end of the day. He is not great. It's really almost a picnic compared to chemotherapy. God Bless!
